Catherine Kitscha, RD

Educator

Catherine Kitscha holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph and is a graduate of the Capital Health Dietetic Internship Program in Edmonton, Alberta. Catherine has been one of Wholesum Nutrition Consulting Inc.’s dynamic educators and speakers since July 2007, where she provides specific nutritional counseling to individuals, delivers nutrition seminars to corporate groups and is becoming well recognized in the media. Catherine is also an advocate of evidence based practice and supports dietetic research. She was recently published in the Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice and Research for her research within the area of pediatric obesity.

Throughout her earlier years, Catherine was an active member of several competitive swimming teams in Ontario and competed at a junior national level. She also continued to pursue her love of the sport throughout university, and still holds a top ten record in the 800 freestyle for the University of Guelph. As a result of her extensive background in competitive sports Catherine has developed a genuine interest in the relationship between nutrition and athletic performance, and she is passionate about educating others about the important role good nutrition plays in enhancing performance. Catherine has recently been training for triathlons and iron man competitions.

She is a member of Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Alberta.
